Sanctions & Exclusions Screening
OFAC sanctions and SAM.gov federal exclusions as dated facts with the official record behind each listing — queryable via API today; bulk file and change feed with Pro (in preparation).
What it is
OFAC sanctions and SAM.gov federal exclusions as dated facts with the official record behind each listing — queryable via API today; bulk file and change feed with Pro (in preparation).
Sources: OFAC SDN and consolidated lists · SAM.gov Exclusions (debarments, suspensions)
Update cadence: SAM.gov exclusions loaded daily; OFAC reloaded with each run — the retrieval timestamp on every fact shows exactly how current it is. History kept, nothing deleted: a lifted listing becomes a closed period, not a missing row.
What is in it today
| List | Facts on record | Coverage | Browse |
|---|---|---|---|
| SAM.gov Exclusions (active and closed periods) | 40,571 | 2022-04-30 – 2105-12-12 | source record → |
| OFAC sanctions listings | 12,605 | 2026-09-03 – 2026-10-15 | source record → |
Each listing is a fact with a start and, when lifted, an end date, the list it came from, the retrieval timestamp and the official record. Where a listed party has been resolved to an entity we also hold from GLEIF, SEC, FFIEC or IRS, the listing appears on that entity's page next to its filings — see rules, sanctions and official events for the daily stream.
Example call (free tier, rate-limited): GET /api/get_facts?entity=<entity_id>&predicate=exclusion_active — Pro removes the rate limit and adds the full daily file.
Who uses it
vendor onboarding and procurement teams, fintech and payments compliance, exporters and freight forwarders, law firms, auditors, grant administrators.
Vendor onboarding
Screen a supplier's legal entity, not just a name: the LEI, the SEC filer and the SAM registrant resolve to one record, so a hit on any list shows up next to the filings.
Continuous monitoring
Subscribe to the change feed and get every new listing, every lifted listing and every renamed party the day the list changes — no nightly re-screening of your whole book.
Grant and procurement compliance
Federal awardees must not subcontract to excluded parties; check the SAM exclusion status with its effective dates and the agency that imposed it.
Audit trail
Every answer carries the list version, the retrieval timestamp and the official record — the evidence an auditor asks for, already attached.
Why this exists as a paid product
Screening is paid for today: OpenSanctions bills commercially per API call and for bulk data; vendors such as ComplyAdvantage sell the same lists as a service. What they do not sell is the join to filings. Every FACTANKER figure stays free to read and to query one at a time; Pro is for the people who need all of it, fast, with a feed and someone to e-mail.
Pricing
Introductory prices. Payment is not live yet — write to us and we set you up by hand; billing starts when the payment page does.

The underlying official data is public domain and stays free; what Pro sells is the normalised, resolved, evidence-linked compilation, its history and its delivery. Prices are net, excluding VAT; business customers only; invoices in USD or EUR; contract terms on request. Terms of use: /nutzung.
Questions
Is this a replacement for a full screening vendor?
It is the list data, resolved to entities and delivered with evidence. It does not do fuzzy name matching against your customer file for you; it gives you clean identifiers to match on and the history to defend a decision.
Which lists?
OFAC SDN and consolidated lists and SAM.gov exclusions today; EU and UN consolidated lists are planned. Each fact names its list.
How current?
SAM.gov is loaded daily, OFAC on every published change. The retrieval timestamp on each fact tells you exactly how current.
FACTANKER Pro is a commercial offer of Enerlio GmbH. Everything public on this site stays free and keyless.
