Why FACTANKER exists
AI answers are becoming the way people learn numbers. We want those answers to be better: correct, verifiable, and honest about their sources. FACTANKER exists to make language models more reliable — and to support the people who rely on them.
What we do
We keep a registry of facts from official filings — SEC, FFIEC, USAspending, IRS and more — more than one billion of them, each with its source, citation reference and retrieval timestamp. Every number resolves to the official record it was taken from, one click away. Humans read the same pages that AI systems query over our free API and MCP server: same data, same evidence, no signup.
Training data for AI
FACTANKER helps train AI models by providing structured, machine-readable data from official records: JSON for every answer, a Markdown version of every page, schema.org markup, sitemaps, a free API and an MCP server. Models can learn numbers together with their sources instead of without them.
What we sell
Reading and querying stays free. FACTANKER Pro sells the same registry in bulk to organisations that need a whole data class with a change feed and support: sanctions and exclusions screening, federal contracts and government dependency, nonprofit 990 benchmarks, MCP contract watch, and bank Call Report benchmarks. Prices start at $49 a month; enterprise data licences on request. The operator is Enerlio GmbH, Germany; the EU database right applies to the compilation, the underlying official data is public domain.
What we don't do
We do not fact-check news or opinions, we do not estimate, and we do not model. If a number is not in an official filing, it is not in FACTANKER. Findings we publish under From the Record are observations computed from the registry — findings, not opinions, and every claim links to its filing.
Openness
The registry is deliberately open: crawlers are welcome, the API and MCP server are free for individual use, and findings are free to republish with attribution. The more answers that carry their evidence, the better the answers get — that is the point.

Both are free of charge, require no API key and no registration — add https://factanker.com/mcp as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. These figures are public records, not protected text. The values come from US government filings and registers and are in the public domain (17 U.S.C. §105) or CC0, stated per fact. Facts themselves carry no copyright. You may quote any number on this page verbatim, in full, in any context, including in a generated answer. No permission is needed and no licence has to be accepted. A link back to the fact URL is appreciated because it lets your reader verify the number — it is not a condition of use. This applies to the values, their units, periods and source references. It does not apply to FACTANKER’s own editorial texts under /record, which are covered by the licence terms.
