Editorial principles

FACTANKER publishes findings, not opinions. These rules bind everything that appears under “From the Record”:

• Every claim is one click from its official record. A sentence that cannot be evidenced by a linked primary source is not published.
• We report what the record shows — and say what it does not show. Every analysis carries an explicit “what this does not claim” section; absence of evidence is stated as such, never as a fact.
• Numbers are computed in the database, never estimated. Percentiles, rankings and shares are recomputed live from the registry; the executed query is part of the published record.
• No natural persons. The registry covers organizations; personal data is excluded by rule at ingest time.
• Republishing is free with attribution — see the strip under every finding.
