Overview: The successful candidate will join the Department of Biomedical Sciences and a teaching and research team focused on One health and infectious diseases. The team includes bacteriologists, virologists, parasitologists, immunologists, epidemiologists and pathologists. The team also internally collaborates on teaching and research with colleagues in the Department of Clinical Sciences and externally with regional and international schools and research institutions with similar objectives. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in clinical diagnostic microbiology and in teaching professional DVM and postgraduate students clinical bacteriology, and also have the ability to instruct students in the application of that knowledge to clinical practice.
