POSITION SUMMARY: The Histology Lab Operator II is a member of the Histopathy Department responsible for assisting HT/HTLs in analyzing specimens and maintaining equipment in good condition. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assists certified/licensed personnel in clinical patient testing in accordance with the SOP • Perform histological preparations for the tissue whole exome sequencing laboratory with little to no errors • Duties may include but not limited to: preparation of tissues, stained slides, macrodissection and supporting workflow tasks • Sets up equipment and assists with automated lab procedures, as applicable • Assist and complete daily tasks • Maintains equipment and instruments in good operating condition • Maintain sufficient inventory of material, supplies, and equipment in the laboratory for the performance of duties • Documents information accurately and in accordance with…
