What does the job involve? Machine Operators are responsible for operating fabrication machines such as shears, rolls, brake presses, forming machines, punches, planishers, burn tables, stake welders and lathes to cut, shape and bend metal plate and sheet. What will my responsibilities include? Review schedule, prioritize daily work, review specifications and blueprints to determine machine and material requirements. Operate equipment as needed to produce parts within required tolerances. Review inventory against anticipated work load to maintain adequate stocking levels. Detects and reports defective materials to management. Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve throughput.
