JOB SUMMARY: Receive, store, issue and inventory supplies, hand tools, weld wire, materials and equipment; maintain minimum quantities of stock items at all times; by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Issues supplies, tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of items issued and returned. Checks weld wire in/out and monitors log for accuracy and completeness. Receives, unpacks and stores incoming supplies, tools and equipment. Verifies actual quantities of items listed on packing slip. Places restocking orders weekly to maintain minimum inventory levels. Monitors trends in part usage and works with Purchasing to optimize re-order points for ready made items such as cover clips. Keeps Tool Room secure and storage cabinets locked. Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment. Marks and Identifies tools and equipment.…
